The T-Bird Advanced Band consists of 7th and 8th grade musicians. The advanced band allows students to advance in their abilities and learn more about their instrument as they progress. Many of these students begin taking private lessons at this time and can advance very quickly. During the first semester of the year, the students continue to expand their musical knowledge and then perform at the Christmas Concert in December. During the second semester, the students progress to more difficult music and perform at the Spring Concerts, District Contest, and the "Carousel of Music" festival sponsored by Frontier City here in OKC.
